A Workshop for Beginners Using Adobe Photoshop Software
(Photoshop Elements 6-9 or Photoshop CS3-5)
Here’s what a few of the previous students had to say about the first workshop:
This class is wonderful and you make it so easy to understand!! This is the "Golden Girl at the age of 79" speaking! I am looking forward to the next repeat so some of my friends can also receive this wealth of knowledge from you. Good things are even better when you can share them. Thank you for a wonderful workshop. This is the best online workshop I have ever taken. The content and presentation can't be beat, not to mention your complete and timely attention to our email requests and challenges that were new for many of us. I feel like I could go on and on with your praises...I am already missing the class group and am eagerly awaiting your next class, whatever that may be. Ruby
Looking at the files, you make it look so much easier than any of the computer books I have tried to use. Patt
I wanted to let you know that I have enjoyed your workshop very much. I feel I indeed learn more each time I take one of your classes. I print out each file and place it in a file folder which I have created for all my digital classes, tips and tricks for future reference. As I have mentioned before, I originally took a vocational tech class to learn "how to photoshop" back in September last year.. I wanted to learn more and stumbled across one of your classes and signed up. I soon discovered I only had learned the tip of the iceberg from that voc-tech class and each time I took another one of the workshops you offered, I continued to learn more and expand my ability to create my own art digitally. I really use each tip/trick I have found though out your files and incorporate these in my digital art. Which, by the way, I think, has really improved. I look forward to future classes and again offer my thanks for allowing me to be able to do what I love to do and have the best tools (knowledge) to do it with. Debbie
I really did it, I have a finished project. I think it could use improvement, but at least it's finished and I learned so much in the process. Thank you for another great workshop. You offered so much information with detailed instructions, that it was easy to be successful. Looking forward to doing more workshops with you in the future. Mary
I've enjoyed this class so much, looking forward to the next one. I agree that it was so interesting to see what each tool would do ... as Cindy said, a lot of it is about experimentation. I know I learned a lot! Linda
Thanks for the helpful and thoroughly enjoyable workshop. I learned a lot and finished 3 collages. I found I was able to express myself easily using your instructions. And one of my new collages makes me smile every time I look at it and is totally unlike anything I expected to make. Again, thanks. CindyB
Composing a “Digital Collaged Illusion” refers to the “Art Form” of combining various elements into a single, fused composition. Your completed collage will have the appearance of a photograph with every element blended flawlessly into the overall digital design. With this digital workshop you will learn how to create a digital “Collaged Illusion” while teaching you the following skills:
1. Careful extraction of digital images from a variety of sources,
2. Perfect layering of elements for flawless blending,
3. Adjustments in light and shadow using a variety of digital tools,
4. Adding visual textures along with finer details,
5. Every extraction is unique and may require additional fine tuning for a perfect extraction. We will explore 10 tools, tips and special techniques, designed for this task.
6. Learn to control the chaos by refining your choices of blendable options. Stay focused on a theme but incorporate the unusual, known as the “Wow Factor”.
7. Work at your own pace. I always include "One on One support", so if you have a question, I'm only an e-mail away.
This workshop includes printable step by step instructions and practice images. No video.
